Omega Mounting was commissioned by an internationally active manufacturer in the consumer goods industry based the Leipzig area to handle the complete installation of 32 StopTruck® systems. The scope of work ranged from mechanical installation to electrical commissioning—a prime example of the professional installation of truck stop systems in the logistics sector.

For projects of this magnitude, one thing matters above all else: a structured project workflow.

To achieve visible results early on and provide optimal support for the construction process, Omega Mounting began the first week of the project with an eight-person installation team on site, consisting of mechatronics engineers, mechanics, and electricians.

Once the main assembly was complete, the team was deliberately downsized. A well-coordinated team of three then took over the fine-tuning, detailed electrical work, and preparations for commissioning.

This approach made it possible to carry out the project in a cost-effective manner while meeting the deadline.

Installation of StopTruck® Systems

A major advantage for our client was the comprehensive project management.

Omega Mounting not only handled the mechanical installation of the StopTruck® systems, but also carried out all electrical work on its own.

Our scope of services included, among other things:
Installation of 32 StopTruck® systems / vehicle restraint systems

Precision at every single loading point

Installation of Individual StopTruck® Systems

Each of the 32 loading stations had to be prepared individually and assembled with precision.

During this process, the StopTruck® systems were aligned with millimeter precision, mechanically secured, and then connected to the respective hydraulic units, control panels, and traffic light systems, as well as the signaling equipment.

At the same time, our electricians installed all the supply lines and professionally wired the control systems.

Neat cable routing and installation in accordance with standards were a given—because these systems must function reliably over the long term, especially in day-to-day logistics operations.

Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Combined to Perfection

A major advantage for our client was that Omega Mounting was able to handle both the mechanical assembly and the entire electrical installation.

Our technicians installed all the wiring, assembled the control cabinets, wired the systems, and made all the electrical connections in a professional manner.

This meant there was no need to coordinate additional electrical contractors—a real time and cost savings for projects of this scale.

Successful Commissioning in Collaboration with Expresso

After all installation and electrical work was completed, we conducted the joint commissioning with our client, Expresso.

During this process, all StopTruck® systems were inspected, tested, and successfully put into operation. Thanks to close collaboration, any necessary adjustments could be made directly on site.

The result: a modern loading facility with 32 fully installed and operational vehicle restraint systems, ensuring maximum safety in day-to-day logistics operations. The facility was handed over to the operator on schedule.
