Industrial fitters in Germany: installation crews for machine builders and plant engineers
If your machine is sold in Germany but your fitters are not, we are the crew on the ground. Omega Mounting installs machinery, production lines, steelwork and lifting equipment on German sites – as your subcontractor, in your name if you prefer, with documentation in English.
owner-managed, core crew of 15 fitters, scaled to 30–40 at short notice
mechanical, electrical, control systems, welding and lifting in one crew
metalwork, welding and a milling machine in Rodgau, 30 km from Frankfurt
method statements, permits, briefings and handover in English or German
- The difference
An installation abroad fails on the things nobody quoted
A machine builder selling into Germany has two bad options: fly a crew in for every job, or hand the installation to whoever the customer found. The first is expensive and slow to react; the second puts your name on work you did not supervise. We are the third option – a German installation crew that works to your drawings, your quality standard and your reporting, and that is two hours from most of the country.
Five trades in one crew. Mechanical, electrical, control systems, welding and lifting are all in house. That matters on an installation more than anywhere else: the interfaces between four separate companies are where the schedule goes. One contact on our side, one crew, one set of records.
We work to your paperwork, not ours. Risk assessment, method statement, permits, toolbox talks, alignment and torque records, handover protocol – in English or German, in your template if you have one. We are used to client standards from data centres, airports, chemical and pharmaceutical parks, and we have our own EHS standard where you do not impose one.
And when a part is missing, we make it. Our workshop in Rodgau has metalwork, welding and a milling machine. An adapter plate, a bracket, a spacer, a guard: manufactured the same week instead of shipped across a border. On an installation that is running against a production date, that is usually the difference.
- What we install
Six kinds of installation work we do regularly
Most of it happens in buildings that are already in use – which is a different discipline from a greenfield hall.
Machines and production lines
Positioned, aligned, levelled, anchored and connected: machining centres, presses, injection moulding, packaging, filling and washing lines – up to mechanical completion.
Cranes and lifting equipment
Hall cranes, pillar jib cranes, crane runways, anchor points and hoists installed – including a 16-tonne crane set more than 30 metres up.
Steelwork and platforms
Mezzanines, working platforms, stairs, walkways, guarding and impact protection, made to measure in our own shop where no catalogue part fits.
Racking and materials handling
High-bay racking, automated storage units, paternosters, conveyors, sorting systems and loading ramps installed and set to work mechanically.
Standby power and distribution
Generators, UPS, transformers and power distribution cabinets moved in, installed and connected – in buildings that stay online while we work.
Test rigs and special equipment
Test benches, test stations and one-off equipment: frame, clamping, pipework, wiring and extraction, built from a sketch rather than an assembly manual.
- How it runs
What working with us looks like
Documents and site visit
Drawings, weights, lifting points, services and the rules of the receiving building. We visit the site before we quote – a fixed price without a walked route is a guess, and on someone else is name that is not acceptable.
Method statement and schedule
Risk assessment, method statement, lift plan where lifting is involved, permits, and a schedule planned backwards from your commissioning date. Material and tooling on site before the first shift.
Installation
One fixed crew with one named contact, working to your drawings and your standard. Night, weekend and shutdown windows where the plant cannot stop. Daily reporting in the format you use.
Mechanical completion and handover
Aligned, anchored, connected, records signed – then handed to your commissioning engineer. We stay on site during commissioning if you want a crew there for the corrections.

Jobs from our own project log
Client names are withheld where confidentiality applies. These jobs are published on our site in German – the pictures carry most of it.

What machine builders and plant engineers ask
Do you work as a subcontractor under our name?
Yes. A large part of our work is exactly that – the extended workbench for machine builders, plant engineers and general contractors. On request we appear without our own workwear and under your name, with one named contact on our side. We invoice you, not your customer.
Do your fitters speak English?
Yes, and so does our paperwork. Method statements, risk assessments, permits, toolbox talks, daily reports and the handover documentation come in English or German, in your template if you have one.
Do you take over the commissioning?
We deliver mechanical completion: positioned, aligned, levelled, anchored, connected, records signed. Process and software commissioning normally stays with you as the manufacturer – we provide the crew on site to work alongside your commissioning engineer, which is usually faster than flying one in for every correction.
How quickly can you be on site?
Rodgau is 30 km from Frankfurt and within about 150 kilometres of a large part of the German industrial belt, so a site visit is usually a same-week matter. For existing clients we also cover breakdowns, typically on site within hours. A binding installation date comes after the site visit.
How many fitters can you provide?
Fifteen own fitters as the core crew, scaled to 30 to 40 at short notice through long-standing subcontractors. Mechanical, electrical, control systems, welding and lifting come from the same crew rather than from four companies.
Can you work in secured or access-controlled plants?
Yes – for years in the security area of Frankfurt Airport, in data centres with escorted access, in chemical and pharmaceutical parks with contractor clearance and in a nuclear facility. The required security clearances for our fitters are complete and on file.
What documents can you provide?
Commercial register extract, liability insurance, clearance certificates, qualification records and our own EHS standard. We do not hold the German VOB prequalification – it is in preparation – so for public tenders we submit the suitability evidence individually or work as a subcontractor to a prime.
Selling a machine into Germany and missing the crew?
Send us the drawings, the weights and the commissioning date – or call. We look at the site before we quote, and we work to your standard, not ours.
