Installation and maintenance for utilities and municipal works

Water works, treatment plants, power stations, network and depot sites: we install, service, replace and relocate equipment where supply must not fail – with our own crew, our own lifting equipment and our own workshop.

What makes a utility installation different from an ordinary hall

Utility installations rarely stand where a crane can reach them. They stand inside structures built for water, power or waste water – not for installation work. Narrow shafts, tight stairwells, low ceilings, plant rooms below ground level: that is our working environment.

The structure dictates the route, not the weight. On an installation job in a hydroelectric power station that meant moving components through an existing building without touching its fabric, using lifting gear that fits through the openings that are there. Where nothing fits any more, we strip the assembly down far enough to get it in and rebuild it in place.

Shutdown windows are short and expensive. A shutdown in a utility operation is planned months in advance and does not get extended. So we plan backwards from the moment of restart: material, tools, lifting equipment and crew are ready before anything is switched off.

And if a part is missing, we do not wait. Our workshop in Rodgau has a metalwork shop, welding and a milling machine. An adapter, a spacer, a console or a reinforcement is manufactured rather than ordered with a lead time that would wreck the whole window.

What we take on for utilities and municipal works

From the standby power system to the spacer made in our own workshop.

Standby power

Standby power, feed-in and refuelling systems

Setting up, moving in, connecting, servicing and replacing gensets and standby power systems – including feed-in, distribution and protection. Tank systems and refuelling technology are hired in and connected by us; for smaller cases we have our own 110 kVA genset.

Process

Pumps, valves and pipework

Placing and aligning units, adapting pipework, manufacturing flanged connections and brackets, welding to TIG and MAG. Leak tightness is a proof with us, not an opinion.

Steelwork

Platforms, walkways and maintenance access

Where an installation has to be serviced regularly, it needs safe access. We build platforms, walkways, handrails and stairs – made to measure for the space that exists.

Relocation

Relocating plant and equipment

Dismantling workshops, depots, stores and complete sections of plant, moving them and rebuilding them at the new location – planned backwards from the restart date.

Machinery and plant relocation
Maintenance

Servicing, inspection and repair

Recurring servicing with records, statutory repairs to loading equipment and doors, impact protection, wear parts, fault clearance – for clients we work with, usually within a few hours.

Workshop

Bespoke fabrication from our own workshop

When the spare part no longer exists: measure, design, manufacture, install. Metalwork shop, welding and milling machine in Rodgau, 30 minutes from most sites in the Rhine-Main region.

How a shutdown window works with us

Step 1

Site visit and feasibility

We walk the route from the vehicle to the installation position and check what the structure allows: openings, load capacities, ceiling heights, lifting points, access. Where it gets tight, that becomes a feasibility study rather than a gut feeling.

Step 2

Planning the shutdown window

Backwards from the moment of restart: sequence, lifting equipment, lift plan, permits, hot work approvals, temporary supply. All material is on site before the work starts.

Step 3

Execution with one team

Mechanical work, electrical work and welding in the same crew – that removes the interfaces where schedules usually get lost. In shifts where the window demands it.

Step 4

Proof and handover

Function test, leak test, measured values, photo documentation and a record to your standard – German or English. After that we are available for servicing and faults.

Utilities and municipal works: answered directly

Which operators do you work for?

For municipal utilities, water and waste water companies, energy suppliers, network operators and their service providers – and equally for manufacturers and specialist firms who book us as an extended workbench for installation and lifting work at their end customer.

Do you also work in existing structures without crane access?

That is our focus. Where no crane can reach the component, we use heavy-duty rollers, tracked rollers, mini cranes, lifting gear and moving robots along the routes that exist. Where necessary we strip assemblies down far enough to fit through the existing opening.

Do you keep to an agreed shutdown window?

We plan backwards from the moment of restart and have material, tools and crew ready beforehand. Where the schedule is tight, we work in shifts. What we do not do is promise a window that lead times will not support.

Can you manufacture parts that no longer exist?

Yes. Our workshop in Rodgau has a metalwork shop, welding and a milling machine. If an adapter, a spacer or a reinforcement is missing, we make it rather than wait for a delivery date.

Do you also take on servicing and recurring inspections?

Yes, with records and fixed dates, plus fault call-outs – around 10 to 15 a year, usually within a few hours and primarily for clients we already work with. We recommend setting us up as an approved contractor before the first emergency, so that access and permits do not cost time when it matters.

Which regions do you cover?

We are based in Rodgau in the Rhine-Main region – Frankfurt, Offenbach, Hanau, Darmstadt, Aschaffenburg and Mainz are a short drive away. For installations, relocations and repairs we work throughout Germany and in Europe.

Are you planning work on a utility installation?

Describe the framework: installation, site, shutdown window, access rules. We will tell you what is feasible – and what it costs.
