GREASING IT ONLY REMOVES THE NOISE – NOT THE PROBLEM
Omega Mounting maintains and repairs industrial plant: electric overhead conveyors, conveying and sorting systems, cranes, standby power units, ventilation and refrigeration equipment. We come at fixed intervals, on findings or in an emergency – and in some plants we are permanently on site.
The difference lies in what happens after the service. A squeaking overhead conveyor is rarely a drive problem; usually the pins and bearing points have seized. Adding grease gets rid of the noise but not the fault. So we work on the cause and fix it during the same visit, with material and tools on board – instead of generating a second appointment and a second quotation.
And when a spare part is no longer available, maintenance does not stop there. We simply make it in our workshop in Rodgau.

We look for the reason, not just the symptom. On 80 overhead conveyor carriers at a food production plant it came down to pins and bearing points – greasing them would have removed the noise and left the wear to continue.

We do not just hand over a list of findings. Whatever can be fixed during the same visit, we fix – with material and tools on board. No second appointment, no second quotation.
Permanent on-site support
Where a system must not fail, we are there permanently: at Frankfurt Airport we look after a shoe sorter running 24/6 with several mechatronics engineers on site. Response time in minutes rather than hours.
Spare parts that no longer exist
On older plant, maintenance often fails at procurement. We manufacture pins, fitting pieces, reinforcements and brackets ourselves – instead of writing the plant off.

Electric overhead conveyors

Conveying & sorting systems
Tilt trays, tilting airlocks, belt and roller conveyors, drive stations: finding wear before failure, replacing drives, eliminating faults for good.
Crane technology
Supporting recurring inspections, working through findings, overhauling trolleys and travel gear, adjusting rails and end stops.
Netzersatz & Generatoren
Servicing standby power units to the manufacturer’s specification, repairing coolers and radiators with pressure testing, test runs under realistic load.
Ventilation & refrigeration

Pins, bushes, fitting pieces, reinforcement plates and brackets from our own workshop – for plant whose manufacturer no longer supplies parts or no longer exists.

THREE ROUTES INTO MAINTENANCE
Most operations use all three – the question is in what proportion. The larger the planned share, the rarer the expensive third case.
Acting before it fails
A finding from an inspection or observation is dealt with before damage occurs. Plannable, but on a tighter schedule than regular maintenance.

Recurring appointments to a maintenance schedule, with a report and list of findings for next time. The most economical route – because wear is found while it is still just wear.
When it has already stopped
WhatsApp and phone, usually on site within a day in the Rhine-Main region. Feasible, but always more expensive than the planned route – and rarely at a convenient moment.

Do you fix findings straight away or does that need a second appointment?
Whatever can be fixed during the same visit, we fix straight away – wear parts and tools are on board. A second appointment only arises when a part has to be procured or manufactured, or when the work needs a longer shutdown window. In that case you get both together: the finding and a concrete proposal for when and how it will be resolved.
Do you offer maintenance contracts with fixed intervals?
Yes. We record your plant, propose intervals and come at fixed appointments – with a report and list of findings for next time. The plannable route is almost always the cheapest, because wear is found while it is still wear and not yet damage.
Can you support a plant permanently on site?
Yes, where a system must not fail. At Frankfurt Airport we look after a shoe sorter running 24/6 with several mechatronics engineers on the premises. Response time then counts in minutes rather than hours, and recurring causes get eliminated instead of being fixed again every time.
What happens if a spare part is no longer available?
Then we make it. Pins, bushes, fitting pieces, reinforcement plates and brackets are produced in our workshop in Rodgau. On older plant in particular this is often the only route that does not end in a complete replacement – and it is usually many times cheaper.
What kind of plant do you maintain?
Electric overhead conveyors, conveying and sorting systems, crane equipment, standby power units and generators, plus ventilation and refrigeration right through to precision air conditioning units in data centres. We work independently of manufacturers – mechanics, electrics and welding come from the same team.
How quickly can you be on site in an emergency?
We can be reached at any time by WhatsApp and phone, weekends included. In the Rhine-Main region we are usually on site within a day, and immediately for plant under permanent support. An emergency is always the most expensive route, though – which is why we recommend keeping the planned share as large as possible.
