CONTAINER FACILITIES: INSTALLATION, CONNECTION AND DISMANTLING

A container facility is delivered quickly – and then it just stands there. Setting it up, levelling it, joining the modules, connecting power and water, adding air conditioning: that is the part that takes technical skill. That is exactly what we take on, with our own lifting equipment and mechanical and electrical fitters in one team.

SETTING UP IS THE START, NOT THE END

Containers do not put themselves in place. They have to stand on load-bearing ground, be levelled and joined to one another before they form a facility. Then comes what turns steel boxes into usable rooms: power and earthing, water and waste water, and air conditioning where needed.

We lift the modules into place with our own lifting equipment – even where no lorry can reach – and connect them. Mechanical and electrical fitters work in the same crew: no trade waiting for another, and one point of contact from site survey to handover.

And when the facility has to make way, we dismantle it so that it can be rebuilt somewhere else.

FOUR REASONS WHY COMPANIES CALL US IN

Crane and installation from one source

We do not just lift and set down – we level, bolt and connect. Lifting equipment and fitters come from the same company instead of having to coordinate on site.

Power, water and air conditioning from the same team

Supply cable, earthing, fresh and waste water, air conditioning: everything that makes the facility usable is handled by qualified electricians and fitters from the same crew – not three companies one after the other.

Joined up, not just placed side by side

Several modules only become a facility once they are coupled, secured and sealed. For us, openings, transitions and seals are part of the installation, not rework.

Dismantling, too

Dismantling with reinstallation in mind: disconnect, unhook, lift off, load – without damage to buildings or ground, documented in our project diary.

WHAT WE TAKE ON FOR CONTAINER FACILITIES

From a single office container to a multi-storey facility – installation, connection, relocation and dismantling.

Setting up and relocating

Placing modules with our own lifting equipment and mobile crane – even over existing buildings or onto areas no lorry can reach. Aligning and levelling are part of the job.

Base and foundation

Foundation pads, strip foundations, slabs or compacted gravel: before the lift, we clarify what the ground has to carry and prepare the bearing points.

Joining, stacking, openings

Coupling and securing modules via the corner castings, stacking, cutting openings, closing transitions and seals cleanly – so that individual modules become one room.

Power and earthing

Supply cable, sub-distribution board, module connections and earthing of the facility – carried out by qualified electricians and documented.

Water, waste water and air conditioning

Connecting fresh water, tying in waste water, laying pipes and protecting them against frost. Plus installing and connecting air conditioning on and in container facilities.

Dismantling and removal

Disconnect, unhook, lift off, load – so that the facility can be rebuilt at the next location and buildings and ground stay undamaged.

THREE TYPICAL SITUATIONS

A temporary solution on a construction site follows different rules from a facility that stays in place for ten years. Knowing both means planning realistically.

Construction site and interim use

Up fast, gone fast

Offices, welfare and sanitary containers for the construction period. What counts here is the deadline: install, connect, put into use – and dismantle without leaving a trace at the end.

Plant security and gatehouse

Permanent, so properly connected

Anything that stays in place for years needs a solid foundation, fixed utility connections and air conditioning that copes in summer and winter alike.

Offices and staff rooms

Growing in modules

When the business grows, the facility grows with it: extend, add storeys, relocate – without stopping operations next door.

HOW A CONTAINER FACILITY COMES TOGETHER

01SITE SURVEYCheck the area, ground and access, clarify the crane position and lifting paths, define the connection points for power and water.
02PREPARATIONPrepare the foundation or bearing points, schedule the crane and lifting gear, time the delivery of materials and connection parts.
03INSTALLATIONLift the modules in, align, level, couple and secure them. Cut openings, close transitions.
04CONNECTION AND HANDOVERConnect power, earthing, water and waste water, commission the air conditioning, function test, briefing and documentation.

CONTAINER FACILITIES: ANSWERED DIRECTLY

What kind of ground does a container facility need to stand on?

Load-bearing, level and frost-proof. Foundation pads under the corner castings are usual, with strip foundations or a slab for larger facilities. What is needed in each case depends on module size, stacking and soil – we clarify this during the site visit, before the crane arrives.

How are containers joined to one another?

Coupled and bolted via the corner castings, and additionally secured in stacked facilities. Where modules are combined into one room, openings, seals and clean transitions are added.

How is a container facility earthed?

By connecting it to the equipotential bonding or an earth electrode, carried out by a qualified electrician and documented. With us, this is done by the same crew that lays the supply cable.

Do you connect water and waste water?

Yes – connecting fresh water, tying in waste water, laying pipes and protecting them against frost.

Do you install air conditioning in container facilities?

Yes. We have installed and connected air conditioning on and in container facilities – from a single unit to an entire facility.

How long do installation and assembly take?

That depends on the number of modules, access and connections. We plan the crane lift as one day's work; the foundation, connections and interior fit-out come on top. After a site visit, you receive a reliable schedule.

Do you also dismantle container facilities?

Yes – and in a way that allows the facility to be rebuilt elsewhere. A documented dismantling job with photos is in our project diary.

Do you rent out containers?

No. We install, join, connect and dismantle – you or your supplier provide the container itself.
