machinery relocation and plant relocation

When it is not one machine moving but a line, an entire machine park or a complete operation: we plan, dismantle, transport, reassemble and restart – with our own crew, our own lifting equipment and a schedule that keeps downtime short. Rhine-Main, across Germany and in other European countries.

A move is one machine. A relocation is a schedule.

A machine relocation is about one unit, one date, one day. In an industrial relocation – site relocation, plant relocation or a complete machine park – dozens of items depend on each other: what is dismantled first has to be standing again last. Foundations, utility connections, conveyor technology and controls have to fit together at the new site before the first order runs through the hall again.

That is exactly what we are set up for. Our fitters come from mechanics, electrics and controls – the same people who dismantle a plant also reassemble it. Labelling, photos and measurements during dismantling are therefore not a formality but the plan for reassembly.

And we bring what a relocation needs: lifting equipment up to the heavy-load range, a workshop for adapters and brackets, experience with contractor approvals in chemicals, pharma, airports and data centers – and documentation you can pass on to your customers, insurers or authorities.

A machinery relocation stands or falls with the fitters who carry it out. For every relocation we put together a fixed installation team of our own industrial fitters – mechanics, electricians, welders – that dismantles the plant at the old site and reassembles it at the new one. The same people from the survey to acceptance, so that knowledge is not lost between companies.

From the single machine to complete production

Machines and machining centres

Machine tools, presses, test rigs: disconnecting, securing, preparing for machine transport, aligning at the new location and restarting.

Lines and conveyor technology

Interconnected systems with conveyor lines, sorting technology and controls – dismantled and reassembled in the right order.

Warehouse and logistics technology

Vertical storage lifts, racking systems, loading ramps and impact protection – from the existing building into the new hall.

Energy and data center technology

Generators, load banks, PDCs, UPS and air-conditioning: moving in and installation at a live site, with a lifting AP.

Relocations we have documented

No marketing copy – reports with photos, figures and what went wrong.

How a relocation runs with us

Four steps, one contact – and a downtime as short as the plant allows.

1. Site walk and schedule. We look at the old and new sites, clarify routes, openings, floor loads, utilities and contractor rules, and agree with you the order in which things are dismantled and reassembled.

2. Dismantling with labelling. Every item is photographed, labelled and measured. Cables and controls are disconnected in such a way that reassembly is not a guessing game.

3. Transport and moving in. We carry out the machine transport with our own lifting equipment or with the mobile crane the weight demands – we have had up to 220 tonnes on the job. Tight openings, basements and mezzanines are everyday work.

4. Reassembly, alignment, restart. At the new site the plant is aligned, connected and recommissioned together with you. For a machine move within the same hall the same process applies, just without road transport. You receive the documentation to pass on – in German or English.

What goes with a relocation

When it is not one machine moving but the whole operation

Factory relocation, site relocation, business closure: we do not just dismantle individual machines, we clear complete halls and put them back into operation at the new site. Our comfort zone is small businesses and mid-sized companies – for corporate sites with a thousand employees we are deliberately not the right choice.

Warehouse technology and high-bay racking

We have completely cleared a good number of halls, dismantled high-bay racking systems and reassembled them at new sites – on request with a changed layout if the new hall is cut differently. We relocated a complete racking system from northern Germany to England and put it back into operation there.

Clearance and dismantling

Clearing the hall, dismantling ancillary systems, broom-clean handover to the landlord or buyer. Also on behalf of insolvency administrators: we have completely cleared production sites and handed the machines over to the respective buyers and salvagers. Such deadlines are usually tight – that is what we are set up for.

Container loading for export

If machines go abroad, we load them container-ready, lashed and secured. The shipping itself is handled by your logistics partner – we deliberately stay out of that.

We are not a removal company

We say this up front so that nobody is disappointed afterwards. We do not come to carry tables and chairs. We come because there are machines and warehouse technology in your hall that someone has to dismantle, move and get running again.

If most of your operation is production or warehousing, we naturally take the desks along too – that is part of the job. If it is the other way round, a removal firm will serve you more cheaply and quickly. We tell you that in the first phone call, not only in the quotation.

Machine relocation in your town

For the individual machine in the Rhine-Main region we have dedicated local pages – with travel times and documented jobs.

Relocations are rarely just a Rhine-Main matter: we have dismantled and reassembled in Leipzig, Munich, Fulda and abroad. The route there is described under Industries.

Machinery relocation: straight answers

What is the difference between a machine relocation and a plant relocation?

In a machine relocation we move a single machine – usually in one day, often within the Rhine-Main region. A plant relocation involves several systems, a line or an entire operation and needs a schedule: sequence, labelling, utilities, approvals and commissioning at the end.

How long is production down during a relocation?

That depends on the number and type of systems. We plan the dismantling so that non-critical items go first and the core machines last – and reassemble at the new site in reverse order. We make full use of weekends and shutdowns.

Do you also handle the transport?

We take care of dismantling, loading, moving in and reassembly. We organise the road transport with haulage and crane partners we work with regularly – you still have one contact.

Do you also relocate over longer distances or abroad?

Yes. We have dismantled and reassembled in Leipzig, Munich and Fulda and also work in other European countries. For long-distance projects we plan the work in blocks so that no travel time is lost from the time window.

How do you document the relocation?

During dismantling with photos, labelling and measurement of every item; during reassembly with an alignment report and handover. You receive the documents to pass on to insurers, authorities or your customers – in German or English.

What does a machinery relocation cost?

A reliable figure is only available after the site walk. What we can say in advance: we charge by effort, with one team covering dismantling, transport preparation and reassembly – you do not pay for three interfaces.

Do you also dismantle and reassemble high-bay warehouses?

Yes, that is one of our focal points. We have completely cleared a good number of halls, dismantled high-bay racking systems and reassembled them at new sites – also with a changed layout if the new hall is cut differently. We relocated a complete racking system from northern Germany to England and put it back into operation there.

Do you also work for insolvency administrators?

Yes. We have completely cleared and dismantled warehouses and production sites so that the property could be handed over, and handed the machines over to the respective buyers and salvagers. Such deadlines are usually tight – that is what we are set up for.

How large can the operation be that you relocate?

Our comfort zone is small businesses and mid-sized companies. For very large corporate sites we say openly that we are too small for that and would rather recommend someone with the right crew size than take on a project we cannot deliver cleanly.

Is a relocation coming up for you?

Briefly describe what needs to go where – ideally with photos and a hall layout. You will get an assessment of how we would organise the process, what we need for it and when we can start.
