This job involved erecting several dividing walls in a battery test station. Our task was to install a partition wall that electrically shields the individual compartments from each other, so that each individual station is protected in its own right when batteries are being tested.
Partitioning a Battery Test Station with Dividing Walls
work diary
Several dividing walls erected in a battery test station: electrically shielded partitions with safety doors, installed in one day by a 4-man team.
Omega Mounting was called in as the installation specialist. Our task was to install a partition wall that electrically shields the individual compartments from each other, so that each individual station is protected in its own right when batteries are being tested.

- One-day project with a 4-man team
Our challenge was that we were on site purely as an installation team and no extensive advance planning was possible, as we were acting as a subcontractor.
As Omega Mounting was almost the last trade in this room, we naturally had to work very cleanly and tidily, because the floor and walls were already completely finished.
Our task was to install the walls in such a way that neither the floor nor the folding walls were damaged and the connection to the glass front also fitted perfectly.
As this is an electrical partition, additional safety systems had to be installed: doors with earthing cables, contact switches and electric door locks, so that they can only be opened after release and the test areas are accessible.
The installation took a full day with four men, who built this new room in the plant during ongoing production. The customer was very satisfied with us as experts and was able to move in the test station promptly, so that batteries can be tested safely and cleanly in future.

A trained mechatronics technician, at home in maintenance, servicing and industrial installation since 2004 – first alongside his father, and since 2012 with Omega Mounting: from the overhead conveyor in Frankfurt to the crane system in a new-build hall. As appointed person for lifting operations, he plans and leads lifting operations in data centers and on industrial sites in the Rhine-Main region, is an instructor and examiner for cranes, aerial work platforms and telehandlers, and a safety officer. On assignments abroad he is known as the "German Troubleshooter" – the one you call when things get stuck on site. He did not learn what quality means from a manual, but from his father: Made in Germany as a standard for his own work, not as a label. That is why quality comes first at Omega Mounting – before speed and before price. The project diary shows the jobs his team has planned and carried out – without customer names, but with everything that can be learned from them.
